Peter Holmes,
Kenneth Scott and
Andrew Holmes have formed a new company.
SCOTTISH BORDERS ART GLASS craftsmen of
both Traditional and Abstract Paperweights
and also other forms of Art Glass.
|
 |
|
Their reputation as makers of fine art
paperweights has attained a level of international renown.
Their history goes back to the early 60's, from
the days of the legendary Glass Artist Paul Ysart, which is now reflected in
their work today.
Scottish Borders Art Glass creates quality art glass. Operating from
a custom designed studio in the Scottish Borders, the small dedicated team
consists of three glass makers Peter Holmes , Kenneth
Scott and Andrew Holmes.
|
| |
|
It is their aim to create the finest quality of
work possible using techniques invented by themselves over the years and
using techniques handed down though the generations of glass artists from
the Ysart family. |
Their
2004 paperweight range captures pictures of what
can be done in glass, using studies from outer space,
under the sea and inventions from their
imagination. The work of Scottish Borders Art Glass is completely
handmade and unique no two objects
can ever be the same.
These paperweights which are sought after by collectors from all over the world are the antiques of
the future.
The
studio also undertakes corporate work and commissions to meet individual
requirements such as trophies, sculptures and
blocks that can be tailored to meet all budgets.
